The primary education team recruits teachers for daycare to kindergarten.   Teachers with knowledge and primary education experience are encouraged to apply.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide responsible care for children
• Treat all children with care and compassion
• Uphold all safety standards
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly classroom
• Maintain a professional attitude, respecting family privacy at all times
• Provide a positive meal time for the children while encouraging them to try new things
• Assist with coordinating enriching educational activities
• Lead songs and learning exercises
• Provide structure and accountability in a compassionate fashion
• Help change  diapers as the need may be
• Engage with the children in educational, age-appropriate activities
• Encourage children to participate in all activities
• Help children develop affection and feelings for others in the classroom as appropriate
• Contact administration to engage parents as needed to address challenges
• Provide many opportunities for children to learn and develop age-appropriate skills
• Facilitate cleaning tasks to ensure the assigned classroom is cleaned.
• Design and follow a complete teaching plan
• Teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social, and emotional skills
• Organize learning material and resources
• Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities, etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
• Ensure tasks are completed per the school’s policy, Ministry of Education guidelines for primary schools, and applicable statutes.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 20 years and above
• 2 years of daycare work experience
• C, B, or A Certificates
• Certification in early childcare or a degree in childhood development is an advantage
• Be physically able to perform tasks, including sitting with kids, bending, and standing
• Willing to sing and dance with the children
• Successful candidates will be subjected to background checks if need be.

Chosen Candidates will be required to complete computer applications refresher training provided by Tech Foundation Academy to enable them to work in the blended learning program and TFA Administration System before starting work.
